That is a 1955 Chevrolet Nomad - only year and only model with those lovely rear wheel wells. Lots of other unique features not on any other model, like the front fender trim. Way different body than other 55 Chev station wagons, including hardtop-styled doors.
One of my all-time favorite cars, eh?

Heres a wagon my buddy and I looked at a couple years ago... Thats his wagon parked next to it, they were parked nose to nose to get the idea of how long this was...

Bossy, that is a really beautiful 56 you had there. Are those Thunderbird wire wheels?
Here's a pic I took in 2009 at the Northern Chevelle Gathering of Chuck Hanson's gorgeous customized 66 Chevelle 2-door wagon. He bought it more or less completed but upgraded & personalized it. I think a 64 or 65 Chevelle wagon shell was updated with 66 El Camino sheetmetal.

A stock appearing 64 Tempest wagon. It is powered by a 326 H.O. backed by a TH400 (in place of the Powerglide). Suspension has been upgraded with stabilizer bars, steering is a fast ratio Z28 setup, brakes are modernized and Vintagee Air is employed.

Hey, I can help pollute the Poncho site with Chevrolet's.
Kind of a unique wagon. Over all in nice shape steel wise, the interior was redone before I bought the car. The guy who owned it before me worked in a upholstery shop, did a wicked job. The car does need a off frame restore to tidy it up, just collecting a pile of parts before I start. It's in the factory colour, but screams to be black with the red guts and and fresh trim.
Beautiful wagon. If you are going to change color I would put it PORNO red to match the inside.Just my 2 cents.
