I had that happen. I drove about 3 1/2 hours to buy a 66 Chevelle convert. After an hour of haggling I finally came up to his price and he said "Nah, I've changed my mind. I'm not going to sell the car."

It's a good thing I got in my car and drove away before I said the words that came to mind.

Carl-it has happened to me many times-especially in the London area-buying a classic car is sometimes like getting their first born-Corvettes especially-"just a car"

Why do guys put their cars up for sale then? I just don't understand this logic. I realize that it is their choice whether they sell but it sure is frustrating when guys change their mind. The only thing I can think of is these sellers change their mind when they realize that the buyer doesn't have the same intentions for the car as they had.

I have experienced the "sellers remorse"  One day its a good idea  and a bad idea the next
women are like that   1 minute they say yes, then a hour later its no

I had the same intentions to sell my car last summer, after owning it for almost 30 years. My thoughts were that it deserved to be restored, and I wasnt the one to do it. One of the fellas that came over to look at it is a huge 66 Beaumont fan (having a number of them himself). He talked me out of selling it. Glad he did. I would be regretting it otherwise.
While I may not be in position to restore it, I am in a position to improve it and enjoy it.

And I would imagine it would have been really difficult to let it go if someone showed up and they made it clear they were going to make it in to a racecar or transform it into something that belongs two borders south!

Some guys think that by putting that in the ad it will sell quicker or for more money....... NOT!
Over priced is over priced, end of story. It's the same as the guys who put in "I'm going to send it to the scrapper" or "I'll restore it myself and get the big bucks", or "My loss is your gain" yeah right. If you want to sell your car don't threaten the potential customer with b*llsh#t.
