67 canso rear suspension.

Okay, I have figured out that I am either chopping the back end out of my canso to fit  a 30x12.50x30 inch M/T Street E/T or.......moving the springs inboard on the existing frame( no choppy) . How far in the springs can go I do not know, so I figure someone out there has done this mod and can shed a little light into my dark pit of a brain! If the boys down south can do 8 & 9 s  on a drag radial with cal tracs why can't I?But I don't want to cut the back end out...but it definetly will not accomadate enough tire for 765 hp plus a 200 shot of nos. I think I may be hooped here ........but it is worth a try.

I had a 4" mini tub done on the inner wheel housing and added a 2x3 frame. The multi leaf springs now hug the gas tank, allows you to keep the rear seat, and the frame gives you mounting points for the spring hangers. I can fit a 305 x60 tire, presently have 275x60's. The ride is not compromised either.
