Not even a Sear's Poncho (for any Zappa fans out there )
Well, it's not Canadian, and not a Pontiac, but member "Kelico" requested some more pics of my wagon. They are not the best pics but...
A little history: Bought this wagon 15 years ago. Wasn't even looking for a car at the time, as I had just bought one, but I have this addiction to you know. After seeing it in the paper for a couple of weeks, I had to call. Two days later I owned it.
1964 Chevelle 300 2-door wagon. 4-spd, buckets, custom dash with full guages, Corvette IRS w/3.55 gears. Worst part: Buick 231 V6 (at least it had an aluminum intake, 4 bbl, Electronic ignition & headers). Plan was to drive it for a year the way it was, then put a mild small block/5-spd in it. Well, here it is 15 years later, and it is still sporting the V6. If there was anything wrong with the motor (besides lack of sufficient HP) it would have been gone ages ago, but the damn thing runs excellent, doesn't blow any smoke or make any unusual noises, and actually is strong enough to get the wagon out of its own way. Haven't driven it out of the neighborhood in the last couple years due to a wasted clutch, but that should change soon. Don't plan on doing anything big to it this year as I am in the middle of a "frame off" on my Caprice.
Some newer, some older:
Since I'm posting pics, here is my other wagon (I've owned many) 1972 Plymouth Fury Custom Suburban 360-4bbl/727TF:
And my Caprice was a 400 small block/TH350/highway gears, but soon to be TH400/Gear Vendors Overdrive/3.73 posi. Rear end is already built and has disc brakes added. Car is completely apart now (body on stands, frame stripped and almost ready for powder coating):
And for the hell of it, my daily beater 1993 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4.0HO inline 6 - 5 spd. Fake duals (one muffler, two exits, two tailpipes on either side of the gas tank)
Sorry for polluting your site with all the non-ponchos.
Frank

Welcome to the site, Love the Caprice...you just never see them much anymore. But I love the grille and front end on them, as well the roof and windshield pillars of that gen.

Thanks,
The concave rear window is definitey unique to the Caprice (and Impala Custom).
In the 12 years I've owned it, I haven't seen many around here. Unfortunately most of the ones I see on Ebag have been mutilated by the "DONK" crowd (22" rims, chromed header panels and the ugliest interiors you've ever seen). Mine will be modified, but tastefully, at least in my opinion.
