Turner Classics - great cars in movies today

TCM is featuring the teen movies from the late 50's and early 60's. Gidget and Palm Springs Weekend tonight. They are good time wasters BUT the cars in the movies are great. Worth tuning into for cars, girls, music. Just good fun. You'd be surprised at who you see in these flicks too.

Robert Conrad just blew by in a 62 Thunderbird convertible!

I love TCM.
I'm also a big old time radio fan and listen to XM's radio classics on my commute to work. I really enjoy Dragnet and love Jack Webb's style. I just picked up season 1 of Dragnet 1967 for a whopping 10 bucks. Lots of great cars seen in the street scenes. Friday drives an interesting 67 Fairlane 4 door with doggie dish caps, twin rear antennas and a wood sport steering wheel!

I remember watching Dragnet with my Dad when it was on TV and not reruns! "Just the facts" I remember those plain Jane cop cars now you metion it.

I see at 4:00 pm today there is a good John Wayne war picture, Back to Batan on TCM.
