65 wagon: i googled it,.. would that fit in the space in the quarter panel.? it looks big lol, but then its just a foto, they can mislead easy

no problem im a little busy now too, but that tool  is the best money spent, im using mine to straiten my newest toy the 65 GTO  . checke the depth you need for your attachments and then just work slowly. ill post some pics when i get a chance the pump part is the large part then you have a hose and your expanding or contract tools sometime a block of wood or metal is used as a shim backer

I hate to be the fly in the oitment, however, maybe I missed it in the above postings; did anyone ask what the drivetrain was in your car and is it rare enough to merit a body off restoration. What I'm trying to say is you do not invest 30 to 40 thousand in a body off restoration in a car that will ultimately be worth $20,000. If its your dads car or your first car, thats different, however if you have no personal attachment to the car you don't invest that kind of money. You must remember that most people giving advice on a restoration have never done one, if fact, they are usually building non original cars that are basically hot rods, not that there is anything wrong with that, but its not even close to a body off restoration. I know it sounds snobbish, however its not, its merely dollars and sense. You don't just power wash your frame, don't replace a bushing or ball joint and repaint it with a brush, then drop the body back down. Every screw, nut, bolt, etc will come off of that frame until the point there is nothing you can take off and then you will replace everything with new reproduction or NOS. If you don't do it this way you are not doing a body off restoration, you are merely cleaning and thats a tough way to clean. The frame and suspension, presuming there is no major damage, will cost you close to $5000.00 to restore and if someone says it doesn't, they haven't done one, they are only giving their uneducated opinion. I do my own work and it is what it is. If that car is a 421-428 car with a 4-speed, have at it. Well worth doing. If its a 389 car, which is the same as out 283 cars, clean it up and drive it but do NOT do a body off restoration; its not for the faint of heart. Have fun but don't overdue the car; fix the body, paint it and drive it. Just my two cents.

here are the final photos of the body rough in, at this point you can finish what you started and is lots to go or fix the paint damage and drive it your choice ill finish the rough in strip and prime then base be warned you will have to get creative to finish ill have make angle iron angle peices to straighten the creases. after two days my nuckles are cut up but the results are worth and no holes
