Just got in from the auction, in a rush to get out to my hockey team's season end party but I'll just say what an entertaining day of auto hobbying! I ran into John Scotti on the floor and introdcuded myself to him, He told me he doesn't own any Pontiacs then I proceeded to watch him go right up on stage and start bidding on a blue 1970 Trans Am - went for $40K+ I think. I may have a shot of it. Anyway I am goingt to start dumping my raw pictures for everyone's enjoyment.
That's all for now, more later....

Back from my party so I can continue loading photos. Prices were off that's for sure, plenty not making reserve and going to the FOR SALE area. The feature car a Z/28 numbers match 99 point car went for only $56K. Owner was on stage just shaking his head. I can't imagine restorng one for that money so he was surely disappointed. Winged car got up to $117K but didn't meet reserve, saw it priced at $150,000 in the FOR SALE area, Talked to a guy who bought a car almost identical to mine, a 99 Deville for $2,500 then a 93 Series 60 went for $4,000. Lots of driver and mild project cars available at great buys.

My two sons are very sad that I won't be at church with them in the morning-I'm home for the night so I can see them in the morning and get to the sale by 10 am-we plan to run until about 3 pm, sales have been good-Classics seem to be bringing better than expected with muscle cars bidding a little light-
There have been some decent buys-
the place was packed most of the day-
I seen Mark Bortolotto pass a few times but didn't get to talk to him-
It was an extremely nice car-rare-and I was picturing cruising with the family in it-I believe it sold at $25,750 or so, Jim Miller always has nice stuff
Is there a price list what cars bid to any where? Want to know what the GMC Typhoon went for. That will give me some idea what mines worth.
It will be posted tomorrow on line, I'll find the link and put it up.
That was one special Typhon I'll tell ya. It had a hole the size of a softball in the side of the block, it blew up real good. I think that would affect the selling price.
The list will be posted on the website tuesday or wednesday, I was watching the Typhoon with interest having just appraised one-don't quote me but I believe the bidding stopped at $9500 and the new adjusted reserve was $15,000 but I didn't have time to look it up on the computer-I was pretty busy with other stuff

Mine was appraised at $40,000 original paint 25,000 miles but with the buck at par I would guess the price would be way down on it. Not many in Canada as they were never sold new here.

Ray, I would have liked a picture of the hole in the block.

theres one here in Welland painted Harley Davidson colors too
Some clown makes an offer on a kit car $1500 under the present price which is $3500 under the reserve, after calling the owner and getting a machine I get no return call-I tried several times and told the potential buyer I'l try to get back to him promptly after I hear from the owner but I doubt that number will fly. Monday he called 13 times ! and left two nasty messages about no response-I haven't heard back from the owner-impattient yet he dosen't want to pay either.
Another bight guy keeps me late for my last sale on sunday-the owner was driving home to Peterbourgh but called his wife to pick him up because I sold his car-the buyer and seller actually got to meet and talk-I send the buyer in to do the paperwork and leave the required deposit but he doesn't do this unaware to anyone due to the rush and line ups at the end of the day-overnight he decides he's not completing the purchase-Dan has no deposit-owner is mad because its not sold and isn't coming to pick it up by 3 on monday because hes at work-we were forced to pay to ship the car to the owner ! lotsa winners out there. (nothing against the owner here) buyer was turns out to be a flake-auction gets the name.
I'm just curious because a 61 fullsize is my favourite Poncho and one with a fun engine just adds to the desire.

Scott (LandShark ...)
See photos 8, 9, 10 above. It was a very nice car, seems like a great buy to me having seen the car. I love 1961's as well, this one was the same colour as our 61 Strato Chief 2dr sedan. It had a fairly recent paint job and was a very presentable car, love those twin rear antenas.
