Hi Jonathan. For starters, there is no such thing as an American Parisienne. They would be a Catalina, Bonneville, Executive or Grand Prix. Ours, such as yours, will be the Strato Chief, Laurentian, Parisienne or The Grande Parisienne.

If you need a frame, with some minor modifications, try and find one of the '67 thru '70 years including the Chevrolet versions of the Biscayne, Bel-Air, Impala, or Caprice models. I have a '70 Parisienne frame under my '67 2+2 Coupe and I just had to use the rear section off of my '67 frame......

 Good hunting.........

That's correct! Just the bumper mounting from my '70 to my '67. It could be possible that the '67 and '68 frame may be just a swap with no mods. That I am not sure of!!!

If it is an American frame, NO, but if it is a Chevy frame, YES!!!! The frame mounts on a BB are just a tad lower than a SB but you can still use them. I have SB frame mounts in my '70 Parisienne with a 454ci.

Johnathon, it has to be a chevy frame, the US ones are TOTALLY different, wheel base, frt. & rear suspension, body mounts, engine & trans mts. ETC. What  67 Poncho was saying is thet he had to use the back section of his frame when using a 70 CDN frame to get the bumber to fit. US WILL NOT WORK unles it's a CHEVY frame

its only bad on one side i hope....... I can't really judge it  from me just sticking my head under but one side is broken right where the transmission crosssmember meets the frame but i jacked it up so it won't sag if worst comes to worst  ill just weld it or pay some professional to weld it (thats only if i can't find a better frame to replace it)

65-70 frames seem to be interchangable    heres   a question about a 64 and a reference to the 65-70 being the same.....

from internet

I have a couple of 69 Impala frames, and have a friend who needs a frame for his 64. I know my frame is good for 65-70 , but my interchange book does not go back to 64.

My question is could a 69 frame interchange with a 64?

Thanks

The 64 is the old "X" frame. Totally different.

The 65 to 70 look the same but they are different. 65 to 66 is interchangable 67to 70 iterchanges the stearing linkage does not swap and dont even try the idler arms are a shaft type on the 65-66 and a bolt on type for 67 70 much cheeper to work on you guys are lucky . i made kits up to fix rotten frams worked well but you need a good welder with a tig to make it safe and invisible. i also only did one side at a time unbolting lifting one side while losening the bolts on the otherside but not removeing them works quite well

those years cannot interchange as 65 to 70 was an H frame and 60 to 64 was an X frame

My 2 cents,
I have a 65 wagon which now has a 67 Parisienne sedan frame under it.
Yes, the steering linkage is different. Provided you buy the appropriate year linkage it wil work as well. I went all new , so, no messin around,

As noted, the 67-70 Chevy frames are interchangeable with the Canadian Pontiac frames.

The American frames are not. As an example the 68 Catalina frame has a 120 inch wheelbase and huge horns that are are part of the frame stamping in the front where the bumper mounts. The Canadian frame has a 119 inch wheelbase and does not have the horns as it is a Chevy frame adapted to the Pontiac bumper which looks the same but does not mount in the same way as on the American car.

Kevin, the 6 cylinder parts car can't be a US B body Pontiac though. The US B body never had a 6 cylinder available.

The Catalina with the 389 is a US car. It could have been sold new in Canada but is definitely US spec. the six wasnt offered in a US Pontiac so the six cylinder car would be Canadian built on Chevrolet driveline and chassis.
