You are so right.  they are called Stainless steel grommets.  I'm not sure of a U.S. supplier, never went looking.  I was going to have my two tone wheel restored by a company in California called Dashes and Wheels or something like that.  Saw their ad in Hemmings years ago.  I fiqured they had a supplier.
In a pinch, let me know, I had several extra wheels with some grommets, last I looked.   I'm still in florida, so I can't look again until I get back.

Lefty,  I recently thought I needed a headlight switch for my 62 Nova.  Did some research and found the following. 
Eckler's offered one in a repro for $99.95 list.  I thought great, I didn't know they were being repro'd. turns out the same switch was used for a number of cars, full size chevy, corvette just a few in addition to the Nova.  If you are ready to swap a few items from the old to new, like the contact parts for activating the interior lights, there were indications they may cross over to the BOC group.  The same repro switch on eBay started at about $30 up to $75 depending on the seller.
I ended up buying a used one from a eBayer for $15 because it included the correct switch knob.  Nothing like getting an original part in excellent shape as an extra bonus. 

Everyone I know that has installed disc brakes has needed a 5 lug spindle, either OEM or aftermarket.  I also know disc brakes require an additional 1/2" of offset.
I mean to say, your disc brake assembly will extend an additional 1/2" out into the wheel opening.
My guess would be in order to run the size and style wheel you currently have, you may need to contact Wheel Vintiques and have a wheel altered to accommodate the disc brake assembly and your only choice may be a 5 lug pattern.
I believe the only 14" OEM wheel from the 60's that will accommodate a disc brake was a rally wheel, 14x6 or 7 which are both wider than your originals.

I think that is the best, looks like im going to have enough $$
left over after i paint this car to do the breaks
but i would like to stay with the 4bolt so i dont have to change out the rear
end as well as front. i Dont think i will be going with anything but my 6cyl (or 283 8cyl)
so the 4 bolt original rear end should be fine.
Painted drivers door inner today now just fender to firewall and trunk-hood left then wet sand.
the only thing i dont think im going to like is the red on red (original colour and interior)
they are very close in colour and it may seem too much red.
Guess i will wait and see
