I purchased new lower window track and side chrome for 62-65 nova Im wondering what the black felt or seal is that is supposed to be inside it between the glass and chrome frame. Should i attempt to knock the old ones apart and relace with the new stuff or take it to a auto glass place. Thanks
I recently relaced the lower tracks on my 63. You put a thick beed of windshield eurathane caulking in the track and set your clean (important) glass in the track making sure it is straight and square in the track. Stand the glass and track upright against a wall till it's dry(overnight) When dry take an exacto knife and cut excess caulking off even with the bottom track and your done.
