Hi Carl. Yeah i like the concept but I actually think the same thing. It looks a bit out of proportion. I just don't know which is why I'm asking people I assume have better taste than me.
(Course the thing is that those big spinners actually were on a 14" hubcap originally.)

It's a little hard to visualize the spinner polished/shiny, but it is different, uses original parts so viewers will wonder "Where did those wheels come from, looks factory but ... ???" and will add a little flash. I bet if you go through with it, you will find that they grow on you. Plus light yellow cars respond well to a little extra chrome.
My vote = do it.
