the one I bought was basically a heavy duty tarp style over a wooden style "hip roof" rib. it was about 350.00 bucks and takes awhile to assemble, but seems to hold up quite well.. the only thing that would be a concern is whether your in a Windy area or not. In Calgary.. the wind never seems to stop.. so good ground work for "ballast" is really important.
I cant remember the brand off the top of my head... but "insta-storage" or something like that rings a bell.

or get a canvas one from an army surplus store.. they're durable and designed for abuse.

Also check with your bylaw dept or building dept. Scugog Twp. [north of Oshawa] is making the owners take them down, no permits, & some say they are an eyesore when every yard has them "popping up" everywhere!!! I had one 5 or 6 yrs. ago only thing I found was that on a sunny day the car "sweated" with condensation & bumpers & engine chrome suffered damage!!!! If it's ventilated properly that "shouldn't happen" make sure youv'e got it weighted down around the edges, one up the street from us ended up 2 houses down the street & Twp. wouldn't let him put it back up + made next door take their's down as well!!!  Hope I didn't burst your bubble but better to check first than get yourself in a "pile" of "brown stuff"

MY NEIGHBOR 2 DOORS DOWN HAS COLLECTED HIS OUT OF MY BACK YARD 3 TIMES SO FAR(THAT I KNOW OF). HE THINKS IT'S FUNNY. IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN I'M GONNA PHONE THE TOWN AND COMPLAIN. MAKE SURE IT IS SECURE AND CHECK INTO A PERMIT. WOULDN'T BE A BAD IDEA TO DISCUSS IT WITH YOUR NEIGHBORS AS SOME MAY SEE IT AS AN EYE-SORE.

What about an enclosed trailer? We sell them all the time just for storage, or sometimes for a shop. You can easily heat them, put in great lighting etc. Also, they are better looking, and the re-sale is outstanding. Plus if you need to go get that next project..... I don't know where you are, but we sell a new 24' car trailer for $7400. I'm sure you can get a similar deal where you are, or try the used market.

the 12 x 20 that candian tire sells is pretty sturdy, it has 2" powder coated frame, I wouldn't trust anything less than that with snow load. It also comes with 4 screw augers that you cable chain it down with.

I've had mine up for 2 winters now, I did frame out and put vents in each end wall for ventilation,,,very important!!

they go on sale for $400 or so....
