So my son and I are getting all the good parts off the 66 parts car and I pick up a pile of old carpet that had been discarded on the shop floor, and as I go to put it in the garbage can ...a Protect-O-Plate hits the floor. Very cool thing is it says Winnipeg on the plate Now this is WEARD. I just bought my 2 dr from Winnipeg in February and I bought the parts car in Victoria last week and it also turns out to be from Winnipeg......Now entering the twilite zone?
Cool. A long shot of course, assuming that you don't have the car that it matches, is the car that's identified on the protecto plate in the Cdn Poncho registry? (Que the soundtrack for the twilight zone...)

Firstly yes we added this one to the registry...Now im not sure how to read thie Protect-O-Plate to figure out the dealer it came from. On the top there is a Name...I assume this is the original owners name. Then an address..again I assume this is the original owners address then it says...... WINNIPEG 9 MAN.....BCDG....776444250.....03 21 66.....4278.....>GM....676657011194.... if anyone can help read this that would be great. I'm assuming the last set of #'s is the vin. By the way the protect-o-plate #'s match the parts car so it does belong to this car. I've got all 3 bays of the carport full up with 66's now..My wife thinks I've lost it.!!And yes that is the same car in the above pictures It's just half missing in the top pic.
