Eagle 16" 5 spoke aluminums

This is more a "what's it worth" post than a for sale ad but in keeping with guidlines, I will say a price of $400 and then post the info.

I plan to take these rims to our local swap meet next weekend. They came off a 94 Trans Am 6 speed car I parted out a few years ago. All four rims are pretty nice. One has a very minor curb rub that is only visible if you are hunting for it.

Now, the question. I tried ebay and searchused.ca and could not find any rims like them for sale to get an idea of value. The tires are junk. What should I ask for these? Is $400 too high, too lowconfuseconfuseconfuse???

You should get $400 from the "right" buyer but with that said I believe there is limited market.

I had a chance to buy four 90 454 SS wheels a couple weeks ago at $150 I networked them at $200 with no interest whatsoever I was shocked-

Shoot, when I call an auto wrecker for steel rims for winter tires the price is usually close to 50 bucks apiece.

 your right

I had two really nice snows for an Alero here-the girl paid $150 ea so I posted 150 a pair to get 100, some asks the other day for best price I reply bring $50 cash-the offer $40 !

I have 4-14" snows on Ford rims, excellent condition-asking $100, someone asks today about the rims-I reply the bolt pattern and tell them to bring $80 cash take everything-no reply-the economy on the low end is in the toilet

Hang on to them for 25 years and when 94 TransAm's are all the rage for guys who were young then but 25 years from now want the car of their teenage dreams and are willing to spend lots, sell them for $1000, maybe with inflation $2000

Does anyone here have experience putting a rim like this with so much offset (all to the inside) on a b body? They are the proper bolt pattern for our Canadian Pontiacs, Acadians and Beaumonts but I am not sure the tire clearance would be correct.

Price sounds fair Carl. Just have to find someone with an "F" body that needs them.

Carl lay the rim flat on the floor and measure to the underside of the rim then take a ruler or something straight and put flat on the axle hub and measure to the inner wheelwell and take those measurment and see if you have any clearance hope this helps     Jim

Carl, a 2" billet spacer will give you the correct offset to install on one of your cars.
Here's a mockup of a 17" Trans Am wheel on my wagon.

Thanks John. I wasn't even thinking of one of my cars though! (Although now that you mentioned it.........)

Anyway, I was talking more about a 65-70 type Canadian Pontiac or Impala. I know the bolt pattern for these is correct but not sure about spacing.

I've seen Corvette wheels with the same offset installed on 60's and 70's GM cars with 2" spacers.  They sit just right in the wheelwell.

I rolled one up beside the car to get an idea of how they'd look.

Yup, it would look sharp.

Would likely look cool on our Fleetwood but it's a daily driver, winter and summer, gravel as well as highway, so...............
