That is an interesting site! A lot of vessels moored/moving around in a fairly small area.

I am surprised by the number of "yachts" in the area. Would have thought they'd be smart enough to stay out of the way, or the Coast Guard would chase them off.

I don't think they're yachts Wes, the legend says "Yachts & Others". They look to be support vessels, and one of the moored ones is a oil platform. Some of the other ships in the area look to be pretty specialized work vessels. Did you click on any for a picture and description?

The few I clicked on had no info available - which I interpreted as meaning they were small, private vessels. I'm sure you're right and they are small, privately owned, likely specialized supply or support vessels. Can't imagine there are many "yachts" floating around this area.

This blowout is a major disaster - repercussions way beyond the obvious, as terrible as they are.

It should work - it's a simple enough concept so long as they can tether it properly. It'll sure help with the immediate problems and reduce the environmental damages.
