1969 Fenders

Well I started fitting my front end together and the drivers side fender was previosly worked on and the front bracket the attaches to the inner fender was rewelded in the TOTALLY wrong position, rather than screwing around with a bad job to start with I am considering buying a new drivers side fender, My question is
is a 1969 Chevelle fenderthe same as the Beaumont ?? I went to a show ans shine today and there was a Beaumont Cheeta there original # matching 396 4 spd car, I have attached a couple of pics

Yes, the fenders are the same. (The filler panels are different, though-more holes in them wink )

The Chevelle fender is the same except for the difference at the front where the grille extension bolts into place. You can make the Chevelle fender work by removing the side filler and folding over the edge of the front fender remove the Beaumont eyebrow brace and weld it into the modified Chevelle fender. Without the brace there is no place to fasten your grille extension.
I attached a picture of my front fender which is Beaumont so you can compare it with a Chevelle fender.

That is something I did not know also. Was thinking of buying new fenders but might re think that and fix my originals.
