never had tis happen before...

On another site I frequent, I found another players car for sale. I e-mailed back and fourth a few times, got ph# And set up a time to see car. My 7year old son and I drive to Burlington, meet up with a 15 year old kid!!! I say " is this the place with the car for sale?" Kid says yep, it's my dad's. So We go look at it, dad comes home, no idea what I'm talking about. I say car is listed for sale on *&^%$%^& site. Says sorry NOT FOR SALE. I say o.k, but Didn't realize what was going on. Kid had a pretty deep voice. I dunno what the kid was trying to pull, but car was in as raced condition, would have bought it in a second. Never had that happen to me beforeconfuse

Yep, I guess so. Nice car, what a waste of a day though. Good thing I had my 7 year old son with me.

Would have been interesting to see what would have happened if you had been there a half hour or so earlier without the old man showing up.

Wow, you seem pretty cool about it. Good for you. I think he's lucky it was you who came and not someone else!!!

Did you leave your name "just in case" Dad does decide, to sell it?

when i bought my 87 Monte SS ,we found it in the auto trader in Whitby,
clint and i went up with the cash and a tow truck intending on getting the car ,we show up and the owner has no idea what we were there for ,seem his wife listed it without telling him .she wanted a mini van.

i tossed the 4 grand on the table it was listed for,and he had to think about it,they talked it over and we made the deal.he had to go empty it out so we could take it right there on the spot.

felt really bad, lol   imagine coming home to that

If my wife did that I'd sell her wedding ring with the car.
