Anybody need one of these? Pretty Decent. I have one that I'll never use. First guy who pm's me gets it for cost of postage or if you have a 66 Grande Parisienne emblem in one piece(The Grande part) I'll send you the manual for nothing plus a teenager!

NOT that I, alone, do not want to help find these emblems, but if I had been caught popping the hoods on most of these cars at alone trespassing to get to them, I probably wouldn't be typing this right now!!! All I need is to get caught rooking something...
Not to worry, if I find them or get ahold of the guy that owns them, he doesn't live here nor part with stuff, you guys will be the first to know!!! Scouts honour....

Thanks Fred... But I believe we all have the same addiction on here!!! That pic was taken on purpose like that as I wanted Canada and our Pontiacs in the same shot. I waited for that particular car to appear and snapped it. Since I have a love of trains, my Dad was with CN for 42 years, I am just in awe of them and even now go to the CP line here and just watch them go by.............
That being said, I see some of the pics I have taken have ended on on another thread here dealing with the history of Pontiacs through the years.. Kinda neat!!
I chased this particular train to the next town to get shots of the engines and since we have CP here and this one is CN, the engineer must have thought I was crazy as I kept showing up 2 other times...............!!
Same engine, different shots...........
Another favorite of times gone by............... Another defunct elevator.................

Since this thread is "derailed" ( man I'm clever!!!) anyway, you guys have it rough if you have to go looking for trains. We have CN about 3/4 mile east of the house and CP 1/4 mile west of the house. And yes, you bet I spent a ton of time playing on the rails and watching trains when I was a kid here!

Yea, someone threw the "switch" didn't they???? The CP line is about 2 blocks maybe 2 minutes walk from the house and shop here. Not rough at all---Awesome actually!! That is another reason I bought my house here.......... With the wind the right way, you would swear it is coming up through the front yard!!! (And.................... loving it!!!)
Sorry for the derail, Ken!! (66 Grande Guy)

Just the same Vince, those are amazing shots. Its the same with any job if you know too much the magic is gone, but from the laymens point of view it is really cool. Keep them coming! You're pratically an artist. if you like railroads take a look at this. One of my all time favorites!
I grew up with trains close by. Then I moved to town for a number of years and lived about 400 feet from the tracks. It took a bit for my country girl wife who was not close to the tracks to adjust when she moved so close to the train. I loved how the house shook when a loaded train went by!
Amazing also how you can sleep right through it in the summer when a train goes by that close and you have your house windows wide open!

i always seem to be in too much of a hurry these days. I've got to be more like Vince. Start tramping the back road and trails, that where the good stuff is.
