RE: Well I almost won 50 million..

Couple of hundred acres on the waterfront somewhere, Big shop for the cars, and Lots of fun times ahead! I'd share a huge chunk, start some sort of charity for kids, and live quietly with the family.

I need to buy my ticket yet. Another announcer at the station wrote a good blog about lottery odds this week. Here's the link.

Still feeling lucky?

E-mail Print PDF

Well I joined hundreds of thousands last week and purchased a lottery ticket. After all, a return of $50 million on a $5.00 or $10.00 investment would be phenomenal. We all know, that return was not realized. The odds of winning are 1 in 28 million . The odds of being hit by lighting during your lifetime is 1 in 5,000. Does that mean I could be hit by lighting 5,600 times waiting to beat the odds of winning the lottery. Ouch!

Last week there we five additional $1,000,000 prizes. The Corporation made 6 draws in total all with the same odds, only one prize of $1,000,000 was won. So, this week we can return to the line-ups, to make our purchases for a chance at $50,000,000 and an additional 20, $1,000,000 prizes. I'm sure the interest will be greater, than last week.

It will be interesting to see how many lucky individuals there will be, come Saturday morning. Oh and watch out for lighting.

I am going to bite the bullet and buy some tickets for tonights draw !  They say you have better odds of getting hit by a Soviet Sattellite twice, then winning the lottery !!!!

Just call my Sputnik !!!!

Might as well re-invest it, it wasn't won again !  that makes 3 weeks in a row !  now it is worth 95 million !  50 million 1st prize and 45 million dollars for the maxmillions !!!!

WHERE IS ALL THIS UNCLAIMED MONEY GOING !!!!!!!

Last week we set a record for people playing the lottery in Canada. For the June 11, 2010 draw the total sales were $90,014,275  for the $50 million Lotto MAX jackpot with 27 MAXmillions (20 MAXmillions advertised).

On the June 4th, 2010 draw, the total sales were $65,199,030 for the $50 million Lotto MAX jackpot with 5 MAXmillions.

With the June 18th draw for $50 Million and 45 MAXmillions, predictions of sales to be in the $115 to $135+ Million range.
