Barbeque

I was at a car show yesterday with my 67 beaumont custom and the barbeque was lit up to provide burgers and dogs for the masses, although i was some distance from the barbeque there was a fairly strong wind and it was blowing towards my car and a few other ones. I scrubbed it clean when I got home but my D99 two tone moldings and roof rail moldings are spotted with grease marks and I tried scrubbing them with different chemicals and hot water but to no avail. The rest are okay, but these were replaced on the resto and it looks like i'll have to repalce these unless someone knows of a way to restore them.

Lesson learned, be aware of where they will be cooking and which way the wind blowing.

More importantly, how were the burgers and hot dogs?

Yesterday at our car event we had these burgers I had never had before called "sliders" All prime rib ground beef about two inches around and 1 inch thick cooked, you use small buns, man I ate about 9 of them!

I am sure you will figure a way out to polish the trims Gerry, lots of products out there for this purpose.  Glad you posted, reminds me to make a call on the 64 409 car, I will try and do that this week and get any updates.

I read somewhere about how to remove finger prints and grease spots from Delorean stainless steel bodies. Apparently this can be a real pain with these cars and there is a trick to it. I'll post it if I find it.

EDIT
It looks like they recommend a stainless steel polish - no specific brand.  Good luck!  I use some wax on my trim/chrome - usually happens anyway when I wax the car.  It sure makes removing grime, bugs, tar etc easier to get off.

We have stainless appliances in the Kitchen, so the range in particular does get greasyand the refridgerator, well paw prints all over it. That stuff made for stanless steel really works wonders. We pick it up at the grocery store cleaning aisle.
