I see Kim's (455GTO) car is tucked in there with the rest of the goats. Great bunch of cars.

A classmate of my older brother had a Sunbeam Tiger with a 260 Ford, hi perf. 4 speed. A nasty car til he blew it up at the drag strip. Mixed up a homemade brew of Naptha fuel, aviation fuel and some other stuff supposedly. I never got to see it blow up, but it was a local legend for its performance that day. They should have gave Maxwell Smart one instead of an Alpine.

I've got a couple of tiger tails and I also have one of the original Esso tiger key chains that has the
tiger's head on it and the words "Put A Tiger In Your Tank" around the perimeter. It was my Mum's years ago and when she passed away, I put it in with a bible my Dad received from his workplace when Mum passed away. Been in there 25 years this year and I take it out every once in awhile just for the memories. I've often wondered how many of them were still around out there as they were really popular back in the '60's.

Esso gave them away around 1992 for a while as well.

I think it was Sept 92 when Fake68 and I drove to Saskatoon to pick up his brand new Silverado short box regular cab 2 wheel drive 1/2 ton. (Very cool truck!)

We stopped for gas and when he came back out, he was all smiles and handed me a Tiger Tail!!!

That keychain is a great memento of your Mom ... sometimes it's the smallest things that instill the biggest memories.

I have a Esso Tiger drinking glass.
I collect a lot of stuff.
I also have a Firestone drinking glass, Goodyear and Firestone ashtrays, etc. etc.
I should post some pics sometime.

I used to put a naptha/gasoline mix in my Fox mini-bike when I was a kid. No tried and true recipe. The bike blew up after a few weeks!biggrin

Wife's cousin had one, it was a one scary little beast, he was a completely nutso driver, he rolled it on the 401 near Guelph after midnight one Saturday with his girlfriend in the car. I don't know how they syrvived but they were pretty banged up. Went down to get them from the hospital. I never knew the real stroy on that one but he lost his license, that was about 1976 and he never drove again until about 1996. Girlfriend became his ex after that, she was a nice girl, too nice for him so she made the right call.
