Going to go with a very dark maroon whine color, we have painted the firewall already to see how it looks. This picture was taken in the dark but you can see it pretty good.

My buddy and I have decided its best to move this car into an autobody shop that he works at locally. So I hope to get some more pictures for updates and let you know how the project is going. My understanding is my bud should have this ready for paint in about 2 weeks, so if things work out I might have a car finished and on the road by early spring!!!

cheers! and Merry christmas guys!

Trunk welded it all tac welds and 1 inch stiches on both inside and underneath. Then used sealer to clean it all up and make it look nice. I hope to be down at the shop today to take some pics and see how its going for my bud. Strange but nice to see it finally out of the garage and getting the tlc it really needs. I think he said this week he spent a good 30 to 40 hours on it. He's a very quick worker.

As far as the sled its done and ready to go the only painful thing is this year we are getting the shaft for snow in southern manitoba its about an inch on the ground :(

Pics of my sled I went with a 144 skid got it painted orange, 1.5 inch track, and 8 inch billet wheels. Checker out!

Did you ever notice the ads for cars?

that will say;  restored, all original, matching numbers,

"painted" 2013 Nissan Purple Candy metallic, with mother of pearl???         (or similar description) disbelief

Are you painting, your beautifull restored car, a base clear factory color?nod.gif

Yea its near the original color but not an exact by any means. It looks normal maroon with no light and then it pops when the sun shines on it.... Should look good I was at first going to two tone it Maroon on top and Silver grey on the bottom but I changed my mind want it more original looking then foo's looking ;)
