This story just came across our news wire at the radio station. I was working at another computer here just before 2 when i felt the desk shaking, could it have been an earthquake? Nothing confirmed yet but here's the newsflash we got.

We got that from a US web site so not confirmed yet as you say, also head epi centre was West of Montreal so Hull sounds a bout about right. Ottawa reporting swaying buildings so it all adds up.

I was listening to CKOC and Rockin' Ray Michaels said that in his studio, his microphone started bobbing up and down for a few seconds and he thought "What the heck?" Yeah, sure Rockin' Ray! More like "What the ####?" LOL! He said two minutes later they'd received word that a 5.5 tremour had been recorded from Ottawa right down through the Niagara Peninsula. That's one long stretch of zone for this type of thing. Sure, we've had tremours before, even in good ol' St. Ratford, but that's a good sized one over a very large area. Should we start being like Callyforrrnia (as governor Arnie would say) and wondering when the BIG ONE is gonna hit? Kinda makes ya wonder. Won't be long and all the doomsayers will come crawling outta the woodwork saying "THE END IS NEAR!" HAHAHAHA!! Couldn't resist it.
I could feel a slight rumble here in Ingersoll. The kitty's knew it before I did as they ran in from the gazebo which they won't do if it's a heavy truck or thunder. Animals still have instincts we have seem to lost.
We're close to the limestone mine in Beachville so our house is shaking all the time from the blasting. Needless to say I didn't feel anything unusual....
