 Oh boy I was afraid this  might happen eventually (OK how much credit can I muster up?  Maybe I'll just buy this one and throw mine away. -internal voice)

As you guys were saying, "It's easier to get forgiveness than permission" ,unless you're married in which case you can't get either. -Ken Yackimec-2010
)
This will be expensive in every sense of the word.

Hey Jim I'll tell ya what. I'll buy it and then you can buy it from me once the heat is off (Honest, once I do just a couple of smoke jobs)

We'll giveeach other alibis like in the old hitch**** movies!

A line of credit is your friend. An unsecured line of credit is even better :)

Free storage in southern Manitoba. And don't worry, you can keep the keys. I have no idea how to hotwire one of those cars... wink

So I phoned him last night.  Sounded like a nice older guy that just needed to get rid  of something he just doesn't use anymore.  He's the third owner.  The original guy had it repossessed beacuse he couldn't make the payments.  The 2nd owner was a civil servant lady who just drove it to work and back.  It has about 80,000 miles on it with an engine rebuild (if I understood him correctly)  The last time he drove it a long distance was about 20 years ago and yes, it passed everything on the road.

Its an automatic (three speed he says) and has the normal options like ps, bb, rear speaker.  He was asking $20,000. i told him with regret that I was not going to be buying it.

I did encourage him to check out the forum and put it in the registry but we'll see...

This is the one Carl!
