I love Canada, dont get me wrong, but what the #&@%!!! I cant believe how much were taxed, its crazy. Oh well. Nowhere is perfect but canada is pretty close, a beautifull country with beautifull people! Oh, and on that note, our move to mexico date has been changed to a year early, oct. 2011, not 2012. Now i REALLY need to get that 59 running right!! LOL

Another Happy Canada to All. Will spending the day being a couch potatoe as had emergency appendix removal on tuesday night. No driving for 3 days and no work for 3 weeks. I like the no work thing, LOL, but need drugs.

I just cut the grass... I will drive to Goderich, and get some new car magazines.. Hit McDonalds for "special Canada Day" lunch, and go to trailer, and watch all the campers play..... Maybe sit in the car and play a Bluetooth DVD on the microsoft Sync

Reminder: Gas price increase July 1, 2010
The HST (harmonized sales tax) for Ontario will come into effect July 1, 2010. Gas prices at the pumps will increase to over $1/L.
Gas tax is pretty high in Ontario, accounting for 35% of the price we pay. There is a sticker on every gas pump with the exact tax breakdown. This will increase to ~42% I believe. The breakdown currently is as follows: 10% Federal excise tax (Ottawa) 14.7% Ontario gas tax (Ontario) 5% GST (Ontario)
Effective July 1 2010 the GST will be replaced by the HST and increase to 13%, an increase of 8%. "Note" that BC will also implement their HST but has exempted automobile gas.
Example: Today gas is 95.5/litre for regular. On July 1 2010 this will increase to 103.1/litre.
Wow Carl.....Last night it was $1.15.7 and cost me $87 to fill my truck, But that's the price to live in a great counrty like Canada. I still hope one day someone will run this country right.

Belated Happy Canada Day to all! You guys beat us out, our national holiday down here isn't until the 4th
Don't know if same is in Canada, but as a certified old fart (i.e. age 62+) in the US you can buy a Lifetime National Park Pass for $10 - that's right, a measly ten dollars gets you lifetime admission to any national park. About the only deal I can think of that the US govt gives, eh?
