I have always loved real Hot Rods form the 50's, 3 windows or Dueces but I got it bad now. 65 Camino and I saw this beauty Saturday night and that's all we are talking about. This has now become a must have car. Of course mine will have Cadillac power but isn't this a real sexy car ?
I don't blame you Ray ... I love all the work and sourcing of parts that these guys do for these rods.

I'm with you Ray - I wanted to build one but the sum of the parts = too much $$$. Of course I was planning on completely new from the ground up (reproduction frame, 'glass body, new suspension/steering/brakes, crate motor, etc.). And I had my heart set on IFS and maybe even IRS for better ride (I did test drive several deuce roadsters), which deviates from true old school 32 hot rod. At 6' I also had a leg room problem with stock bodies and most of the 'glass ones, firewall/column/pedal location as well as seat design were points of concern. I am no longer willing to drive for hours cramped up. Not an issue for shorter guys in a deuce.
Maybe you could build one reasonably the old way (find a cheap base, swap meet for motor etc.) but I fear there will be the problem of people thinking their old stuff is worth too much.
I have no idea what your talkin aobut !! LOL ....joking !
yeah , once that bug bites you ,,,it does not go away. I have contemplated selling my 33 a few times over the last year,,,,,,but then I drive it !!! and that thought is gone !!
Hot Rod 's who woulda thunk they'd still be around.

I'll need a roadster at 6'2", but that one I was in on Saturday wasn't too bad for me. It's a far away goal, like once the last one finishes University in 4 of 5 years, but in the meantime I'll be planning.
Here's another one I especially like in Penetang ON...

Hey Ray, I have an article somewhere about a guy that built a roadster like that with an early v-12 lincoln. The caddy should go in simmiler, no? If interested, I'll look for it for you and post.
Sure the more we have to see and plan the better. I have to admit though, I'm starting to think NORTHSTAR, easiest horsepower and torque you can find and with open dual exhausts probably talking 345 HP min. In a less than 2,000 lb car, YIKES!
