We are moving out of province and am forced to give up this rare Impala SS 427, 4 speed convertible  project, VIN 1686771131838, I have build sheet and written documentation from GM that this car is one of only 43 produced in 1967 with the L36 427 motor.

I had bought car without motor (cast #1390435) it can be sourced and is not to hard to find, but I do have the original Muncie M20 transmission.

All metal work is done including all floor and trunk panels and tubs were replaced and new top was also installed so car is ready for interior and paint.

I have over two thousand dollars in new replacement parts to go with car and all chrome has been replated.

Options include power widows, power driver seat and speed warning indicator.

This car is a good investment and is sure to demand high dollars after completion.

I do not expect to recover my investment and am willing to sell at any reasonable offer.

Car is located in the RM of Gimli, feel free to email for further details or  information or call me at home 204 642 4489

Neat that it is an Impala SS with a 427 rather than an SS427 car with the special hood, or were the SS427 cars not available in Canada?

Z24 option gave you the hood and other items. You could just order the 427 option by its self. I have 1 of 31 Canadian built 1967 Caprices built with a 427. I would love to buy this one.

proper casting number for motor is 3904351 also used in the 67 Corvette. Very hard and costly block to get.

Dan.... this car is rare in itself , as the original buyer did not order the more desireable Z24 ( SS427) package which would have given him the 427, and the SS domed hood etc.... . The buyer just chose the L36 engine option on its own. Being a 4 speed car is also very desireable.

If this car "did" have the Z24 option it would have been sold already ( I would have grabbed it yesterday !)... but then I would need a divorce lawyer .

Talked to the owner yesterday afternoon. He's is actually moving out of the country ( to Mexico), and is unloading all of his cars ,projects ,  house etc....  so the car will get sold .

He is into this car for $14K, and will take offers.

You know that white with a black soft top looks quite nice.  Does the top go down?

The top down, does not allow the A/C to work as well...    so I leave the top up...is that bad for it?
