1969 Resto Progress

Well another 5 days off flew by but I did get some time to get some more work done on the Beaumont. I had a problem with the drivers door binding up against the fender and gave a Bodyman Painter buddy a call. After looking at the car for a 1/2 hour or so He kept looking at the lower hinge and asked if I had changed it?? which I had. We took off the aftermarket hinge off and put the original back on and presto no binding. He then adjusted the doors and we added some shims to the lower fender bolts and it all fit pretty good. He asked me about the stock hood and we mounted it and set the levellers. I put the latch in this morning and a little more adjusting and it fits pretty good. Gord figures the new hinge will work with a small bit of modifying but we will leave the old one on untill we finnish the epxy primer and sanding. She's really starting to take shape now, I can't wait for my next set of days off.    Later everyone.

The new hinge was likely made in China.
