Another one in the yard tomorrow

Well I m back at it again,My son,, a good friend  and myself went back to the guy i bought the frame from and I bought a doner car I was just interested in the front fenders but I had to buy the whole car to get them.

We will return tomorrow with a trailer to pick it up.Lots of good parts Im sure I will be using  more when I get started on the job.

The guy started to make a gasser with it years ago, kind of a different approach, he got sick and never finished it.

Pictures will follow after I get it .

Well....you are both right. From what I can gather it has a Beau front clip on it..but it is a chevelle.
Yes it does have a straight front axle on it...
This guy also has another 68 chevelle ss with a truck load of parts. This car is in an old school bus sitting for 15 plus years. The car is in good shape but needs a resto.
Price is 8000...too much for my wallet right now..garage comes first!!

Yes Al, you should pull the fenders off and sell the car. The fact that it's an SS396 alone should keep it from being parted out. AND a really nice color combo to boot.
( I might even be interested in it!)

That's a neat colour combo Grecian Green/Parchment int. Not too many of them left in that scheme I would think?

The more I see that Grecian Green the more I like it. That's Fannie's original color. Guess I've been looking the wrong place for parts...never checked under the bushes no great find.

seems to be interest in this old gem, even a a local guy is showing interest. I'll probable use the front clip for my beau and hang on to the rest, remove the straight axle and just store it for now. May be another project after the Beau is done!! ( the last one ) lol

Glad to hear the progress and that the panels made it to you.
Work sure gets in the way of having fun on old cars! I work away from home too. Tough to start and stop all the time.

Yes but when you start again it is like a new project. At work now..another week to go then back home for 3 weeks.
Last time home I stumbled upon a 5 speed transmission..so I guess its going standard, have to order the pedel set up now (Christmas gift to me)LOL. Parts are starting to gather. Met Barry in Fredercton and had a great chat . Lots of goodies there and a great job done on his wheels!!
