installing spotlights

Hi guys, I've just received a pair of original Unity spotlights from my girlfriends father (he has a '54).  They are both wired for 6v and are working.  My question is the best spot to put them through the A-pillar.  With the amount of chrome work around the window, it doesn't look possible, and the only other option is through the door, but that leaves me with issues as well.  Any suggestions?

Unity spotlight website,  You can order an email copy of any year of mounting template FREE.

All parts and lights are still available new for every car ever made.

Very VERY helpful website!!!

I had a set of "spots" on my 51 Merc. P/up They went thru the pillar & had a "substancial" hole drilled in each post. By the looks of these pics. I would say these are door mounted. Hold spot up to car & check mounting angle to body position before drilling!!!!! or you may have spots that don't point where you want then to [ like straight up???]
