62 pontiac convert found on scrap truck

Im always amazed at how cars sometimes seem to find me,I was driving down the highway near town when I noticed a scrap truck waiting at a side road and on the deck was this 62 Pontiac Parisienne convert. It looked as if it was just hauled out of the bushes. So I pulled over, let him go by and followed him to a local scrap yard. The driver was a nice guy and said he was taking the old pontiac into the big city to be sold as scrap tomorrow.Well even though I have no more room on my property for another car and there is no way my wife will give up any more garden space I struck a deal and the car was mine.
I only need a few parts myself so I will part out whats left, and quickly, its sorta in my way .There is no motor or trans and its almost broken in half with rust but there are alot of good parts still.Ill post some pics and prices in the proper catagory soon.

thanks for saving another one,, by that I mean ,, the donar parts off this one will resto another.

when you get around to pulling the pot metal side trim, and the stainless top rail,,KEEP THE CLIPS !!! When I restored my 62, I basically had a parts car for the small clips and such.

that stuff is like gold , and if the side pot metal is good, someone will snap it up. V-8 emblems are a rarity too.

May I claim first refusal dibs on the chrome section of the dash and the radio?

Thanks. I doubt the dash is any worse than mine which has suffered the English climate all it's life and has a badly cut hole in the middle. In fact a similarly pitted one would suit me for cost reasons too. I was laid off last summer and at present I'm only working part time for low wages. I really need a RHD dash but since so few were made the chances of finding one are probably zero. My idea is to carefully rebuild the middle section with a portion of a LHD dash, ideally with an original style radio.
Look forward to seeing the pics and if we agree a transaction, just to re-assure you, shipping would be to New York where my son lives. Now that surface mail has disappeared sending anything heavy internationally has become far too expensive!
Sincerely,
Ches
