The Annual  Thunder in The Valley Drag races, and car show are this Weekend here in Port Alberni. Car show is Friday evening at the Rim Rock Casino, and racing starts at the Alberni Valley Regional Airport Saturday morning. Everything from street class to door slammers to alcohol rails....always an awesome weekend here on Paradise Island!! Everyone Wecome..car show is usually free and races are cheep to watch.

this is a really great event except there is no beer gardens. Usually a great time,have heard the rain word for sat though.

Was hoping to head up that way on Sunday, but weather man may say different. Seen a local guy loading up tonight. Tubbed 69 chevelle. Was up there last year on sat and was a pretty good show.

Wil still probably go up sunday, if it rains I can go visit buddy from work, he's camping up there, close to track.

headed up for the post car show and ran into grande jim a pleasure to hang out with you at the jand l and the kids had a good time alsoLots of fun some burnouts and some blue and red lights always entertaining.Looks like there wont be much for rain,saw a real nice 64 beaumont SD rag up there and had a great dinner at the Jand L! Looks to be a great weekend! timbuk

U had better update later tonight, want a weather report. Raining down here and calling for rain tomorrow as well. YUK. We ran into Grande Jim at shawnigan car show a month ago. was nice meeting up with him.

weatherman says cloudy up there from tomorrow, no rain. Will probably be on the road by 8 am if weather looks good. Will be wearing a black and red snap on jacket and a blue dark blue Grumpy hat, LOL. Scruffy lookin guy with a black mustache.

Rain stopped and racing started hopin to go tomorrow..got stuck workin on the house today..no rain in the forcast for tomorrow..should be great day!!
