I am planning on being there Saturday. I am supposed to hook up with Bill and we are both taking our 69 SD's.

This has to be one of the best shows in Canada in my opinion. Just pay the admission price if you're not into investing three days into this with your car. Loads of GM's, great site too on Lake Ontario.

If you get there early you can probably do the entire show in one day, there has to be close to 750 cars though.

I have never made it to a car show for a 2 or 3 dayer but usually end up paying the same because I'm just there for the day.  For the most part it really doesn't bother me because quite a few of these shows forward money to various charities and some raise a significant amount.  I'd just as soon waste my money there as some of the other places where I waste it. 
As far as judging I usually don't even fill in the category to be judged in because I'm not interested in competing with those high dollar cars.  They sometimes fill it in after for me but I've told them not to bother.  Was a real pleasant surprise in May when they contacted me after the Peachland World of Wheels show and told me I had won the mayor's choice award.  There were probably around 400 cars there but I think the mayor must have had a Beaumont in his past!  They sent me a real cool glass trophy though.  I go for the people and I have to say I've had such good luck with the people I've met.  So far no jerks at all.

Last year I took 65camino and his Dad in my Deville. Doug has a disability permit so I pulled up to the first Police officier and we asked him about parking. They have the street all pyloned off into lanes for this and that. He flagged me into the curb lane and told me to drive to the front gate. Once we got there we were parked. We walked across the street into the park, all of 30 feet.  

I paid $10 at the gate and was in.  I think I'll take Doug again

Thanks for letting "Mom & Dad" know I'll be back in the area.   Haven't seen them since 2005.   I'll be doing the car show on Saturday so hopefully we can meet face to face.  Look for my 72 Malibu if you don't find me have me paged.  I really would like to meet you and talk.

Hopefully I run into Keith and Dale Tedford as well when I'm back there.   Are you going to Haugen Barbeque Chicken in Port Parry on Wednesday Augst 25th?

Congratulations Glenn, although I have only seen your car in pictures I must say it is one of the nicest cars I am familar with.

Anyone going to Oshawa this weekend?
 I will be there on Saturday and would like to meet some more of the CP gang. I'll be there with my 69 and Bill (64wagonsd) is going to have his 69 SD there as well. This is the first time our two SD's will be shown at the same show.
