We just got home. I had a great time. It rained but that really didnt' cause any problems other then wet cars. The tour of the HMS Haida was fantastic. We had a knowledgeable tour guide and it took over two hours to do the tour. I took photos however Ray had a better camera so we'll wait for his photos. There was a large gazebo that easily fit all of us to have our lunch. All in all I'm glad we did this. I only had one problem with the Pontiac. I had a full tank of gas however when I got there I only showed 1/4 tank. I was a bit worried! It turns out I have a bad connection some where. On the way home when I turned on my headights I lost all my gauges. When I turned my wipers on both turn signal indicators as well as the high beam indicator lit up! I'll worry about fixing it later. Off for a nap!

What makes this ship so special is the amount of action it saw in both WWII and Korea. I believe she sunk 14 ships and also had a couple of "train kills" in Korea. The ship would target North Korean trains on shore and had two complete kills- where both the locomotive and train were destroyed. Her big guns had a range of 9 miles!

I really enjoyed this tour.

Yes Todd it was a great tour, I had to "bail" out after 1:15 as my "day pass" would expire before I got back!!! Enjoyed meeting everyone & hope we can do it again before the snow comes & I don't have to get home as soon. Traffic was horrible on the way back on QEW & I ended up taking # 5 to 403 to get around an accident.

Thanks to you and your group for making it over Bill, we very much appreciated and enjoyed your company!

Today was alot of fun. We got to learn a little History...very cool ship to have seen so much action, meet more of the CP crew and catch up with some we haven't seen in a while. Also thanks to Todd and Randy for letting me tag along into the city and thanks to Brad for getting me out of there!!!! I look forward to our next get together....

Ray, great pics , how many cars showed up? We should have tried harder to make the effort but 2+ hrs of driving in the rain is more than this old guy was ready for.

YES it was great meeting you all, the ship tour was a learning experience so much so that I went into the sore there and bought a couple of books and a tee shirt to remind me of where was. Was great to able to put some faces to the screen names
