Had the ngine and carb rebuilt. While waiting for carb i put the one for my 307 on (non Computer) Car stalls when stopping backfires when slowing and bogs when secondaries open. Blew out fuel lines replaced fuel pump same problem figure carb to small. Got this cars qjet back same problems. Car has 14lbs vac from tank and fuel presure is 6. What next my mighty Gurus?
Forgot to say new tank and strainer. 2nd rebuild in 2 years bar and call 3 are on this. all sorts of problems and lies from first company like charging me for a differnt cam than they claimed so before first rebuild no after first rebuild only 6 cyls firing so i don't know. New cat and flomaster .It did do this before but with all that was wrong I never did figure it out.
Did your timing gear set have 3 keys to install it for pre retart or advance? You may want to pull the left cover with the engine at TDC and make sure both valve are closed.
How did you set the lifter lash?
Do you have another distributor you can try? Twice I have been had by bad distributor components. Once was the wiring to the module. I chased a fuel problem for weeks. The second time I just swapped distributors.

wrong fuel pump. Should have been my first guess kragen oriely always gives the wrong part unless you get the girl. looks the same but the diaphrame is to small put the other on works fine.
