What do you think about Ground Zero?

I enjoyed the comments on the "boat" people,  and understand, that we need to be careful, on a public forum, talking about religion, and politics..  I think we have, to date..  so
biggrin
 What do you think about the idea of a Mosque, being built, close to,  Ground Zero? 

 I am a Canadian vet, and think it should not be built...  

The U.S. president made comments, regarding everyones freedom of  worship.... 

There is much to be read on this subject ....   If this is not a siutable topic for us..  let it fade away  Carl

I don't think it should be built close to Ground Zero. Moderate Muslim groups have also spoke out about it and they seem to agree.

Myself as well, I disagree with it being built anywhere near ground zero.  It's like a slap in the face. But like it was said in previous entry it's an American issue. Just my personal feelings and I am 3 generation Vet.

I Agree as well....It Should NOT be built there. I'll stop myself thre, before I say something that may get me kicked off here...

I don't think anything should have been built there (building, church, mosque, whatever) other than a memorial to the victims of 911.

As an American this is a bad subject. Most of us feel it will justify the the terrorist.

Although its Amercian soil, 24 Canadians died that day also. Should be left as a memorial to all that died that day.

A memorial would be perfect. Nothing to fancy something like the U.S.S Arizona.
