Colonnade wheelbases

OK, so a regular Colonnade coupe (LeMans, Century, Chevelle, Cutlass S) with the semi fastback roof has a 112" wheelbase. The formal roof coupe (Grand Prix, Regal, Monte and Cutlass Supreme) has the same wheelbase as the sedan, 116".

My question is, where does the extra four inches go?

My first wild guess would be rear seat legroom

Second wilder guess - longer hood?    confuse

Hood, having owned both. The rear leg room is about the same.

My info says 112 for 2 door  116 for 4 door   73-77     where did you get your info?

I had always thought 112 for all 2 doors, but I'm no expert on these cars.

Looks like I am wrong folks, I hang my head in shame!
I guess all two door Colonnades are 112" WB. For some reason I had it in my mind that the GP/Monte/Regal/Supreme were on the longer 116" WB.
