what does 400 hours and $10,000 add up to?

It has been about a year and a half and now it is finally complete.I only hired out the roof liner install and the seat recovering. All the labour was done by me which includes all machinical, stripping, cleaning, priming, painting, and pollishing, etc. With the help of Canadian Poncho I made this car better than I could imagine.I have posted pictures before so some might be repeated. From start to finish here they are.

Ditto that!  I applaud you for both the effort and the result.  (Certainly more than I could ever achieve.)  You should be very proud!

Don't think you need a big shop to do this I did this (except for exterior paint) in a single car garage with a 2.5 hp compressor and 2 1500 watt heaters and a600 cfm fan . Plus the patience of a loving wife who did not how much this would cost .

Beautiful car! Very nice job.

I am curious to hear why you changed the color from the original. The original color is far less common than red. I haven't seen a 67 SD396 in turquiose. Of the 451 SD 396 cars, I would think turquiose to be one of the more rare colors. Red and black being the most common.

the reason I changed the colors were for popularity and did not like gold for the interior. The turquiose seemed to date itself as a old mans car which it is not. I also did not know the back ground of my car when I started . The information came from this site after I picked the colors. If I were to do it now I would probably go with turquiose and black still hate gold.

So what you're saying is that it's not my single garage that needs upgrading?...
