feeling sad

I was just going thru a post about the 69 poncho 427 car for sale & saw a few posts from Hilliar from way back then thought of my Mom who we lost 1 yr. ago today. My time flys by, anyway just wondering if Hilliars profile should be changed to let new members, know that he is not with us anymore, only in our thoughts,or put a "tribute" to him there instead of a profile??   Any thoughts on this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That seems like a good suggestion Pete. Not sure if anyone can do that though. I know I can't even though I am a a moderator.

If it helps, I was with Hillar's father today for a short visit. I am very fond of him. He is 84 and he can do the work of 4 men. He is busy doing yard work at the house. He has a great sense of humour and he is very intelligent. Always neat as a pin.

I suppose the best part for us car guys is that he drives a 1984 Monte Carlo, mint condition, gold with matching vinyl roof, Chevy rallye rims with trim and centres.  biggrin

He certainly got a lot of joy out of collecting things, in fact going to auto swaps and shows consumed most of his weekends from March to September.

Sad. Not everyone understand that it's not just collecting "junk". The people we meet, the long term friendships that result, the fun of buying/selling/trading parts is all part of this great hobby.

I like the suggestion about Hillar's avatar/profile updates if that can be done.
