Remember the 1969 2+2 427 4 speed?

Fast forward from 2008 smile    The nice fellow, who visited me today, who has a interesting collection of B-bodies, bought the Gold 427 2+2 4 speed!!  
His account of the car is interesting..   He called, and got to visit the car.. Lots of stuff packed around it..  crawled under the car, and sat in the seat..   liked what he saw,   Went in house, and wrote cheque for asking price....wink  He got it home, and was also given the original bill of sale, protectoplate, service bills etc   Put diesel fuel, and trans fluid, in cylinders for 3 weeks . Put carb on, from 396 we were driving in today...  Charged up battery, and fired it up!!  Runs well now, and interior is needing only cleaning, and carpet shampooed ..  Car is scheduled for restoration next spring... I was surprised that the car, was a 1 owner car....  will fill you in..I was invited for a tour (nocamera)  Car will be properly and nicely restored..   Owner is a member here, but does not have cell phone or computer!confuse

Fingers crossed. With that drivetrain it is super rare. It was equipped as was the typical fashion back then, having power 4-wheels drums. Lots of barnacles underneath that car but still amazingly untouched. I'm glad to see that 2+2 went to somebody who appreciates what it is.  I knew people that were watching that the original Kajiji ad in 2008 hoping to break the car for the 427 4-speed. I'm glad that didn't happen.

Hey I remember this car from the kijiji ad a couple of years ago and considered checking it out. Was it in Sudbury or North Bay or someplace like that. This is long before I found the CP Forum. Cool car, really got my attention with the power train combo 427-4 speed. Thanks for the update.

there's that fancy 4speed ONLY air cleaner.

One like it just sold on ebay for 500 dollars.

MY BEAUMONT HAS 4 STUDDED TIRES AND 2 BLOCKHEATERS......AND LOTS OF OIL UNDERNEATH.  The other one has a longer roof.

Did anyone on this site buy the white on black 1969 2+2 427 4 speed from Bruce Smith on Salt Spring Island about 15-20 years ago?

I looked at the car and have some pics I could scan and send if interested.

He also had a 1957 Laurentian convertible

That sure looks like it.  As I recall the car was bought new here in Duncan and the guy wanted the 4 speed for towing a boat.

There was also a 1966 light green Beaumont station wagon here with a 327 4 speed that my friend bought new in Duncan.
