Went to a car show today

No Pontiacs in sight, but a few neat Buicks, Chevys, plus Ford, Mopar and even a Studebaker.

Nice cars & it they look "SO MUCH BETTER" with no front lic. plate [clean lines] JEEZ I wish Ont. would get rid of the front plate like most of the other Prov. have done!!!! Saw in the Sat. Toronto Star "wheels" section where Mitsubishi EVO had to re design the front facia for our plate & they say it looks awfull & after see the pic I agree

I agree ... after living 45 years in "front plate country" (ON.) I always envied my relatives in Quebec.
On PEI, no front plate, and only 5-digit plates.

Can't get rid of front plate.  All the spyware that photographs us (In ON) depends on it.  Better to tax us with.

Rented a car when I was in Ontario in May. My GPS kept sending me on route 407. I now understand this is an electronic toll route. Never once did I see a booth, but today I got the bills for my toll charges from the rental company. I prefer traditional toll booths like they had in Ohio when I was there.

I gather this system takes a picure of your plate. Just like in London UK; cars which drive in the downtown there have their plate numbers photographed and every day they have to electronically settle their accounts.

Front plates are law in Manitoba but I have made it 3 years without one on the wagon. I just can't bring my self to put it on.
