1968 PARISIENNE CONV. FRAME

Hello,   Just joined the site,  I'm going to look at a 68 conv. with a bad Frame, from what i'm reading,   hard to come by ?   I have frame expertise, but don't want to repair everywhere, so i seek advise from the Poncho people on where to locate one and a ballpark cost. can anyone offer advice,  the car itself isn't to bad by the looks of the pictures sent to me.  Also what might someone pay for such a car ?  Thanks .

David it's the old story, when buying you want to pay "as little as possible" on the other end when selling you want to get "as much as possible"!!! So on your end you have to draw the line somewhere as to how much it's worth & how far you want to go. Frame is the same as a chevy convert, & you will likely have to go out west or south. There are some here [2 just south of me] but I'm afraid to ask the guy how much, as anything I've tried to buy has been Way above best list prices!!!Anything he has has "GOLD" written on it, anything he wants to buy he says is "junk" untill it's in his yard then it's "GOLD"

If it matters that you replace the frame w/ a correct boxed style, they're hard to come by and usually more expensive!.
Using a solid condition but non-boxed sedan or hardtop frame works great for a driver and they're easier to find also usually cheaper too but a few differences you'll need to get through like tranny crossmember width's etc..
Pretty sure a couple guys here have done frames on 67/68 B'Body ragtops in the past couple years...try the search box!.

Good luck w/ everything!.

Yup !   it needs a frame, body has been off and the frame welded already,  was hoping it hadn't ,  its double the work to cut apart someone else's mess, so I left it there until i do a little digging and try to locate a frame first . If anyone has one feel free to email me. thanks
