1956 Olds holiday 88, The guy i traded with traded something else for it. He didn't know alot about it, i calle dthe previous owner tho and he had more info. Had  frame off resto year and a half ish, maybe two years ago, then last year had teh crate motor and tci th350 installed, On a hoist the car is really funny cause it's so new underneath, and not undercoated hiding scale new, i mean original paint shiny new. All the bushings, all the suspension, well, everything, wires, nuts bolts etc were replaced. I installed the tires, 4" blocks in the rear and cut two coils outa the front, it drives very nice, really really loud cause those lakes pipes in teh pic's are the only exhaust on the car. And it has a gear drive that has to go but other then that im pretty happy with it. It needs about another 100hp tho so maybe a 4-71 in the spring.

Im gonna pull two leaves out of the rear, just to get that back down a bit, i dig the taildragger look, them some old school striping, some dummy appletons, and WWW and call it done appearance wise i think...

hey those Oldsmobiles are cool.
My Dad had a 53 Olds 98 with a 303 Rocket and a 4speed hydramatic, that thing went !
Very weak frames though, that's a weak spot on the 53-57 Olds., Dad broke the frame on the 53 and on two 57's on our bad roads back in the day....

Dave did the Strato Chief stay in Ottawa? I saw it at the Cumberland Village show in mid July. You took off before I had a chance to talk with you!

The Olds doesn't look too familiar.

Awsome ride! Are those lake pipes I see? If it were my car I would make sure it was powered by an Olds. I used to own a 1977 Olds 403.

That one looks like a 1955 Olds, and the Vauxall Viva / Epic beside it looks like a 1965. I remember those things around but haven't seen one in many decades.

You were there? Shoot...would have loved to chat, me and the kids wandered around for a bit but the wife wasn't feeling good so we didnt stay long. No, it went to a guy near Peterborough ish....Or near there, he met me in Perth and had said it was a 3hr drive .....No from what im told and the used car package seems to back most of it up it came from S/California in teh late 70's, then lived in and around Lindsay On most of it's life. I wish i knew more about it but the owner i got it from knew very little, the previous owner knew a bit more but I would love to know where the rocket motor went and stuff like that....

They are, and although im a bit of an ass and i really love the fact that that's all i have for exhaust it has to be changed. A: it's way way loud, and im ok with that but it's run under the frame rail at the front to the headers so because it's under it's low, i mean hit everydip, no way in hell of clearing a speedbump or getting in my garage or any kid of road with a crest at the top cause they are like 2" max of the ground when im in the car. And since i lowered it i have pounded teh exaust nearly flat so im going to pick up some smithy's and run exhaust to teh back bumper...
