The cowl tag says RR. Does that not mean the top should be red?

Hey Ken, that last car in your pictures, the 67 Impala SS 427. Is that a factory 4 speed car?

Do you remember on here a while ago I told a story of seeing a 67 SS427 4 speed, all red, came through here in about 1982 or so? If this car is a 4 speed, I bet you anything that is the car I was asking if anyone had seen...

AW Crap, Yes I believe it was a 4 speed, and I thought I got a pic of the interior, but I guess I didn't....

There seemed to be an awefull lot of full-sized chevs there with big blocks... including the other 65 biscayne which was a 396/4speed.... My buddy talked to thye owner and believed it was an original car. Somewhere around $30 G's to buy (or rumor had it)
Thinkin maybe I should sell mine now, they seem to be coming out of everywhere.....

I bet you that's the car! I knew it had to show up sometime. You don't keep a car like that under wraps!

Very cool car and certainly rare. Looks as nice as I remember it almost 30 years ago...

Well just got in to my buddie's place here on the outskirts of Calgary and just had a great weekend here capping it off today with the car show. The football game was pretty good too but sometimes I didn't cheer quiet enough and the people around me gave a dirty look. I'm sure that will be the last free tickets I ever get from the Stampeder office. Anyhow was fun to hook up with Rick (67rag396) and get a tour of his workplace and the awesome product they produce and also his shop where he keeps the cars. Thanks again. Didn't take any pictures as I knew Ken was going to be there so kept busy circling around trying to see most of the cars. Most Beaumounts I've ever seen at one place. Seems like there were 2 or 3 on every street with probably a total of 15 or so would be my guess. Think I heard around 1100 cars so all in all a great event. Last road trip back home tomorrow.

I like black but that Caprice would be super cool in it's original colour...

One thing to keep in mind though. As far as L30 goes, in this area very few of them were L30 cars. Most of the 68 B body Pontiac 327 cars around here were 2 barrel cars. Very few 4 barrel cars.

Just about positive now it's a 4 speed, bucket seat car.  May not have been that way originally.  In my opinion probably the nicest Beaumont at the show.

this one im one the fence about? cant read if its a 738 or a 736?

what do you think?

SD396 with a 2 speed powerglide/buckets ,no console
or
Custom 2 speed powerglide/buckets no console?

im thinking column shift/ buckets? possible?

You are saying that because it's after the changeover date, right? In theory it could be an SD, bucket seat column shift car?

I have been reading old posts regarding this for the last 10 minutes! I agree with you. Either a Custom, or an SD with column shift. But.............., did an SD with buckets built as a 738 car not have to have a console with the exception of a 3 speed manual car?

Do you have the 3-4 page document explaining the SD option that started in December? It was posted again recently and I can't find it.

Ok, so it HAS to be a console car since it's a bucket seat car as per page 3.

Assuming it's a 738 car, that is...

doesnt that say you can only get a console if you order buckets?

because its hard to put a console in a bench?

Yes, but it doesn't say you have to order a console with buckets. That is what is confusing me...

The powerglide part in a 67 SD is not all that uncommon. The column shift in a bucket seat 67 SD is unheard of as far as my gray haired head can recall.

Nowwhere does it say you recieved or HAD to buy a console with the buckets on a 738 car, but who has seen one without it?

But it also says you could get a 4 speed (M20) SD with buckets and no console?

Who has ever heard of or seen one?

And D55.

I bet there is no M35 A51 without D55 on a 738 car.

But I've been wrong before!

I just went through your 738 cars and every car with cowl tag info listing A51 car has D55.
