It's a no brainer. My parents used to like the odd beer and it didn't seem to hurt them. They both also liked to smoke and that killed them.

 I never smoked, I detest it, my parents did as well.. Kick the dirty habit and and have a social drink... I believe that is why I have so many toys....

i quit smoking in 89. took my $125/month that i used to buy smokes and spent it on stereo equipment. had a really hard time quitting, figured i would quit once and i wouldn't have to go thru it again. most of my co-worker say i turned into a real jerk during the ordeal, some say i never changed back.

This is the same dilemme I faced when I first went away to university.
The answer was surprisingly easy - I was going to have more fun drinking my way thru university.
Been off the smokes for 40+ years. Have also managed to reduce the alcohol intake some.

these are the things that are taxed to death booze and smokes.Now sex and pot aint taxed just thought id bring that up.Soon you will have to hide to smoke likethe potsmokers to light up so have a scotch

Quit both and smoke a fatty. I used to and it helped me to answer these hard questions. You can pretty much roll up anything around Vancouver Island and the THC is in it from all the dope grows.
