i need 2 new mufflers for my 1964 Pontiac Parisienne Custom Sport Convertible 327, the ones on there are from 1973 and they are done what mufflers should i get to replace those? tks Max
get the long metal ones for a 283 holes offset in each end... and don't forget the Woodpecker decal
i have no idea what those are, do you have a link of where to buy? and cherry bombs not my style, i want to keep it as stock as possible, maybe a bit more rumble
rthe mufflers ray speak of sound great especially with headers i like flowmaster 40s without headers.the long ones carl speaks of sound good also a bit quiet for me
I've got them on the 64 Catalina, NICE sound but not loud, & reasonable cost as Ray said. Beats paying over $100 bucks ea. for "Flow Masters" & too Loud for me & C/bombs Turbo's sound better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Geez Ray, that's what my truck sounds like morning after the first frost. Okay, just kidding. I'm not smoking and I'm bitchy. Cherry Bombs are rad. Check out Joan Jett and the Runaways version on You Tube. Ja!

are the glasspacks seriously good? because i just went to Canadian Tire and the turbos are great at $45.99 but they are only 14" long i currently have a 27" muffles so the glasspack at 26" would be a easy fit and they only cost $36.99

Cherry Bomb glass packs are the original straight through muffler. They offer almost zero backpressure restriction but they are louder than Turbos or Flowmasters.
My opinion is go with the glasspacks, it seems like an easy fit and you are going to love the sound.

That's nice Mike BUT my posts reflect reality. He does not have a Bg Block.
Not being saucy and not sure how many BBC you have ever been near but NOTHING and I mean NOTHING sounds like a BIG BLOCK. The ground moves when a BIG DOG rolls by, you can feel it in you gut.

I know. But I originally bought the original flowmasters 40 series, with dual exhaust for $500 for my previous 71 LTD. It had a small block, 351W and it still sounded amazing. It did have a rumble to it as well allthough not as loud as a big block like you said.
My Riviera had a big block. Maybe I should have put on Flows before I sold it
