I know that this is not right place too find info on a Buick 455 engine heads, but you guys on here sure know your stuff..i'll give it a shot and see what happens. Here's the #'s on top off the head with the valve cover removed..1231788 and a J25. Now on the manfoild it has 1233699....thanks.
Thanks Todd.. it's hard too make out some off those #'s..as far as i know the motor is a 455 that came out off a 70 Buick Riviera. Just curious too what the HP rating is for this Engine.
Depending on the car they were in, they were rated anywhere from 350 hp (GS455) to 370hp in a full size Buick in 1970 although it is generally known the actual HP was higher. Torque is 510ft/lbs at 2800rpm! 1970 was the best year for the Buick 455. Any plans for the motor?
