'68-'72 Acadian/ChevyII/Nova Question??

The project is a '68 ChevyII

In the foreground of the pic is the right inner fender. Circled in red is where the battery box is mounted, circled in the green on the right and left inner fender are the two holes that are in question.

I don't recall anything mounted or going through these holes. Can someone assure me of this.

Thanks tons.

Mike

It has been 25 years since I restored my last 68-70 but I'm 99% sure there is a round grommet that goes in that hole and the wires from your front engine harness will go through the grommet to the parking/signal light assemblies in the front bumper.
Make sure you have a bumper with the small parking liight holes.  One of my pet peeves is 68-69 Nova's with a 70-72 front bumper.
Good Luck, enjoy the build.
I'm a wealth of knowledge but sometimes I just can't remember the combination to the vault,   fore-speed
