MY Beaumont took 1st place in CFB Gagetown Show & Shine

The threat of rain kept this event from reaching its full potential, but obviously good for me. There were still some very nice rides, and beautiful bikes. The Mayor and Legion branch president judged and selected my 67 Beaumont as the favorite. (I hope nobody remembers the thread where I said I'd never enter my cars in a show) I am a veteran and felt obliged to participate, now I'm probably hooked.

Thanks to all the sponsors for the great prizes, and the legion members and veterans  for their sacrifices. I had pictures taken with the Mayor and will post the newspaper clipping once its printed.

I met a guy (66/67 blue Chevelle....damn I'm bad with names). He is very good friends with Peter (Old Gold), and Barry, and a few others from here, but has never heard of CP.  Hopefully he posts his car here.

The Beaumont has had a few changes since the pics below....complete flowmaster kit installed last week. Now it sounds like a big block!

Congratulations. I am not one for entering in judged shows either but it sure is nice to have your car and efforts recognized.

Congratulations !  I 've been to Gagetown to the museum on base. New Brunswick is a great part of our country. Your car looks fantastic.

Thanks everyone.  It came as a surprise to me. It gives me new motivation (not really needed) to do the detailing planned for this winter.  The new 'growl' added with the Flowmasters was exactly what it needed.(IMO)

Unfortunately yes. It deserves better! My driver (wife) found last minute plans and I can only drive one. It hasnt been started since the Beaumont. I should take it for a spin today.  I have lowered my expectations and will soon list it for $6900 locally, and if its not worth that to anyone else.....it is to me, and I'll keep it.   I am only giving a half-hearted effort to sell and am fine either way. (painting it green was a good way to ensure it stays here;)

Congrats! It can get addictive, and you'll have the extra inspiration to clean/detail and keep it clean...

I went through that for many years with my car...even when it was a daily driver! I had a full set of fresh plated bolts i'd rotate through the undercarraige/underhood between shows!

Congratulations T.2 S., I waited around for a call from Maine that never came, then I figured it was going to rain and stayed put.

The guy with the 67 Chevelle is Dave Aubin, he's quite a character!

Thanks again all, I have had the car for almost a month. I am thankful daily for such a good find, (Markwink)  I'd hate to be dealing with regrets. Finally got a speedo cable, also found out that the Muncie is an M22 with a pro rebuild one month prior to my buying it. George spent big$$ on this transmission. So far, all the 'surprises' have been good ones.

Big thanks to Brian, (CP'er)we've never met, but he took the time to go test drive this car, and the report he gave me was spot on. tyty
