Hey James, thats my red 66 360hp 4spd Chevelle ! I would love a copy of that pic sometime. I didn't take many pics of that car. Cool pics !! Thats my buddy's 66 vette too,he still owns that car.
Oh yes, please post them! Just seeing some of those cars takes me back to being a teenager in the 80's. Hope to see some other cars that we might recognize. Thanks for sharing them.
I just recognized a couple more out of that first set of pics. The purple Henry J used to be a regular at the track in Calgary back then too. It was a real crowd pleaser too because it was so short and went very fast. If I recall, it was high 7's or low 8's. As well, I think the blue 57 camino is still around.
Amazing how many of these cars are still around and pop up once in a while.... Thanks for the pics... I think I got a bunch from earlier car shows as well, back in my Pre digital camera days..LOL I'd have to scan them

I BELIEVE THAT "EL CAMINO" WAS BUILT BY A FARMER IN THE THREE HILLS AREA. I SAW IT NOT TOO LONG AGO(CAN'T REMEMBER WHERE). IT USED TO CRUISE RED DEER QUITE OFTEN WHEN I WAS YOUNGER. I ALWAYS LIKED IT. IT WAS DONE VERY TASTEFULLY.
Yes that's Kevin's vette Mike. The 57 Camino is Ben Maerz's from Three Hills. He's a local farmer that does restorations on a lot of mid fifties, mid sixties stuff. He did the 57 many years ago, doing the transistion from a 2 door wagon.
The last time I seen the 57' Camino was at Super Run in Red Deer a couple years ago. By the way,I have a lot of photo's from that run as well if anyone is interested in seeing them.
